Adidas Clears Out Remaining YEEZY Inventory at Outlet Stores for as Low as $30 USD
After parting ways with Ye in October 2022, adidas has been slowly but surely getting rid of its remaining stock of YEEZY products. And now, two years later, it seems like the Three Stripes has finally reached the bottom of the barrel: select YEEZY models have been spotted at adidas outlet stores for as little as $30 USD.
In a video captured by @laced_heat at an adidas outlet in Niagra Falls, NY, the Yeezy QNTM and Yeezy BOOST 700 MNVN can be seen on shelves with prices marked down by more than 80% from their original MSRPs of $250 USD and $220 USD, respectively. These models likely didn’t sell out during adidas’ numerous YEEZY restocks and sales earlier this year, and are now being sold as final clearance items, mostly in smaller sizes.
The downfall of the YEEZY line and Ye’s fall from grace in the footwear industry have been well-documented, even before the partnership officially ended. And even after the split, Ye continued to make significant profits from product sales. However, it’s still shocking to see a line that once brought in $1-2B USD in annual sales and dominated the aftermarket now reduced to being sold alongside other fading adidas products at outlet stores.
Despite the end of the partnership, Ye has remained active in the footwear world over the past year, releasing his infamous $20 USD YZY PODS slip-ons and more recently, firing Steven Smith from Yeezy. But as the final remnants of the partnership fade away, it’s clear that Ye’s influence in the industry has also diminished.
