JOOPITER’s sacai x SEVENTEEN Auction Raises $337,500 USD for UNESCO with Record-Breaking Sales
JOOPITER has just announced the incredible success of their recent sacai x SEVENTEEN auction, which saw all lots sold and a total of $337,500 USD raised for UNESCO. The auction, supported by SEVENTEEN and Pharrell Williams as Goodwill Ambassadors, featured 14 exclusive LABUBU figures dressed in sacai-designed outfits.
The highlight of the auction was the 14 LABUBU figures, which were customized POP MART x How2work Green Edition plush toys from Kasing Lung’s The Monsters series. Each figure was styled in a tan onesie with unique gold and silver accessories around the neck, representing a member of SEVENTEEN. The 14th figure was a special edition in a secret colorway inspired by one of Pharrell Williams’ favorite sacai pieces.
The top-selling lot was a LABUBU figure that sold for an impressive $31,250 USD, setting a new record for the highest-selling LABUBU plush toy at auction. Other notable items included a J-17-S T-shirt signed by SEVENTEEN and a custom sacai leather jacket worn in the group’s “Bad Influence” music video.
All proceeds from the auction will go towards UNESCO, with SEVENTEEN and Pharrell Williams using their roles as Goodwill Ambassadors to support the organization’s mission. SEVENTEEN serves as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors for Youth, while Pharrell Williams is a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Arts Education and Entrepreneurship.
