Carhartt WIP Unveils Playful Campaign for FW25 Pronto Subito Capsule, Inspired by 1980s Pizzerias
Carhartt WIP, known for its durable workwear, has taken a fun and unexpected turn with its latest collection. The FW25 Pronto Subito capsule draws inspiration from 1980s pizzerias, complete with a special video game and a range of apparel and accessories.
From Workwear to Pizza Parlor Uniforms
Known for its duck canvas and double-knee workwear, Carhartt WIP has shifted gears to present a collection that pays homage to the uniforms of pizza parlors. The collection includes graphic tees, a zip-up sweater, a cap, a tote bag, and even a custom chrome pizza cutter and an embroidered apron.
Ready Immediately
The name of the collection, ‘Pronto Subito’, translates to ‘ready immediately’ and is a nod to the signage often seen in 1980s pizzerias. The phrase is emblazoned on the blue and black graphic tees and two colorways of the zip-up sweater, adding a playful touch to the pieces.
Playful Illustrations and Bold Typography
Each piece in the collection features a playful illustration of an oddly-shaped slice of pizza and bold green bubble typography. This adds a fun and lighthearted element to the otherwise utilitarian workwear aesthetic.
A Retro Video Game Experience
In addition to the apparel and accessories, Carhartt WIP has also released a retro video game on their app, designed by artist Oliver Payne and writer Erica Redling. The game, inspired by the Pronto Subito collection, challenges players to prepare pizza slices on a time crunch with arcade-style, 8-bit graphics.
