Patta x Nike Cryoshot Mercurial: The Ultimate Fusion of Football and Streetwear
Amsterdam’s streetwear powerhouse Patta has just unveiled its highly anticipated collaboration with Nike on the new Cryoshot Mercurial, marking the first of many collaborations for Nike’s innovative Cryoshot series. The co-owner of Patta, Guillaume Schmidt, gave the world a first look at the sneaker, which takes the iconic Mercurial R9 silhouette and transforms it into a lifestyle-focused adaptation.
The Patta x Nike Cryoshot Mercurial R9 draws inspiration from the classic blue and yellow “Brazil” colorway, but adds a bold twist with vibrant red and orange accents, as well as sleek black details. The metallic silver leather streaks pay homage to the Netherlands’ “Oranje” heritage. Patta’s signature spell-out logo is prominently featured on the extended lace shroud and traditional tongue. The shoe also boasts the innovative “icy underfoot TPU cages” that are a defining feature of the Cryoshot series, making these iconic football boots suitable for off-pitch wear.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, this collaboration is just one of many exciting projects in Patta’s 2025 lineup, which also includes upcoming Air Max 90 colorways.
