Ovrkast. and Carhartt WIP Team Up for Exclusive Apparel Drop and Listening Party
Oakland’s own Ovrkast. has just released his latest LP, While The Iron Is Hot, and to celebrate, he has joined forces with Carhartt WIP for a one-night-only collaboration. The drop includes a limited edition graphic tee designed by Ovrkast. himself, featuring the key motif of a hammer, perfectly representing the album’s title.
The collaboration was a match made in heaven, with Carhartt WIP’s rugged and durable aesthetic aligning perfectly with Ovrkast.’s raw and authentic sound. To kick off the release, Kast hosted a listening party at Carhartt WIP’s new outpost in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The event was open to the public and featured a screenprinting station where attendees could get their hands on the exclusive Ovrkast. x Carhartt WIP tees, as well as a panel discussion between Kast’s team and the Carhartt WIP team.
The graphic tee itself is a clean and simple design, with the album’s title and hammer motif stamped in white on a classic black tee. But what sets it apart is the added touch of a phone number to call, reading “Ready to Strike?” at the top. According to Ovrkast., this was inspired by old infomercials and street posters, giving it a unique and vintage feel. And the best part? The number actually works, so fans can call and hear more about the collaboration and Kast’s personal picks from the album.
