Dior Confirms Jonathan Anderson as Eighth Couturier

In a groundbreaking move, Dior has officially announced Jonathan Anderson as its eighth couturier, taking on the role of creative director for all of its main lines – women’s, men’s, and haute couture.

A New Era for Dior

This confirmation marks a monumental shift for the iconic French fashion house, as Anderson becomes the sole creative force behind all of Dior’s collections. This echoes the brand’s original structure under its founder, Monsieur Dior.

From Loewe to Dior

Anderson’s appointment comes after a series of changes in Dior’s creative leadership. He was first named creative director of Dior Men in 2025, succeeding Kim Jones. Shortly after, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s departure from Dior’s womenswear and couture lines was confirmed in May 2025.

A Fresh and Daring Vision

Known for his innovative and gender-fluid designs during his 11-year tenure at Loewe, Anderson brings a bold and daring vision to Dior. His first women’s ready-to-wear collection for the brand is set to debut during Paris Fashion Week in October, following his highly anticipated first Dior menswear collection on June 27.

Anderson’s Gratitude and Excitement

In a statement, Anderson expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to unite Dior’s collections under one cohesive vision. He also thanked Bernard Arnault and Delphine Arnault for their trust and loyalty.

Arnaults’ Praise for Anderson

Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (Dior’s parent company), praised Anderson as one of the greatest creative talents of his generation. Delphine Arnault, chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, also expressed her confidence in Anderson’s abilities and the decision to appoint him as creative director.

A Bold New Chapter for Dior

This appointment places Anderson at the helm of one of the world’s most influential luxury brands during a time of significant changes in the fashion industry. It solidifies months of speculation about Anderson taking over Dior as the creative force behind the brand.
