Alejandro Gómez Palomo Continues to Push Boundaries with “All of Heaven’s Parties” Collection at Uptown Manhattan Church
For Spring/Summer 2025, Spanish designer Alejandro Gómez Palomo once again defies the norms of menswear with his latest collection, showcased at the Fourth Universalist Society Church in Uptown Manhattan. Titled “All of Heaven’s Parties,” the collection challenges societal expectations and traditional style codes, urging us to reconsider the relationship between sexuality and rationality.
In the collection notes, Palomo asks, “Why are emotions like lust, desire, and attraction, which are inherent to our humanity, condemned with the threat of hell? If these feelings are a part of our nature, why must they be denied in the pursuit of heaven? How can something so inherently human be deemed sinful?” With this collection, Palomo encourages us to leave behind our preconceived notions and outdated beliefs, and embrace the beauty that comes with embracing our true selves.
In an interview with Hypebeast, Palomo elaborates on this concept, explaining how he brought it to life through intricate embellishments and layering. “Beads on top of beads, fringes on top of sequins, feathers on top of beads – all of it,” he says. Drawing inspiration from Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki and iconic fashion photographer Helmut Newton, Palomo juxtaposes glamour and sensuality, creating striking silhouettes with sequinned pants, oversized detailing, micro-shorts, and even vibrant ostrich-feathered wigs. He also incorporates elements of his Spanish heritage, utilizing traditional craftsmanship techniques like silk fringes and delicate embroidery in his designs.
When asked to describe the collection in one word, Palomo confidently declares it as “heavenly.” Take a look at the stunning pieces from Palomo Spain’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection above, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more coverage of New York Fashion Week.
