It’s been a year since Marmot launched its Marmot Capital diffusion line, and the brand is back with a brand-new collection for FW24. Designed by Kikuno Kiki of PURPLE THINGS, the line offers a fresh take on urban wear, departing from the brand’s traditional backcountry style.

Compared to its inaugural FW23 collection, Marmot Capital’s latest offerings are relatively understated. The focus is on simplicity, with monochromatic fabrics, trims, and details. However, the brand adds depth by mixing different materials, such as matte shell outer layers, glossy technical fabrics, and plush fleece jackets.
A Color Story Inspired by the Northern Lights
The color palette for the FW24 collection is reminiscent of the nighttime hues found in the Northern Lights. Standout pieces include a beetroot ski jacket and a washed-out neon green puffer jacket, which adds a cool twist to the popular “BRAT green” shade that took over internet memes this past summer.
Retro Vibes with a Modern Twist
Marmot Capital incorporates logo-play into the collection, with intarsia Marmot beanies, a hoodie featuring a faded black and white breast graphic, and a long-sleeve crewneck with a nostalgic Marmot sports logo. These pieces add a touch of nostalgia without leaning too heavily into retromania.
