Spotify and FC Barcelona Team Up with Travis Scott for Epic Jersey Takeover and Cactus Jack Collection
In a groundbreaking collaboration, music streaming giant Spotify and legendary football club FC Barcelona have joined forces with rapper Travis Scott for their sixth jersey takeover. But that’s not all – the trio has also designed a limited edition Cactus Jack collection of off-pitch apparel to celebrate the partnership.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there. To mark the occasion, Travis Scott will be performing in Barcelona for the first time ever. This is all part of the long-term partnership between Spotify and FC Barcelona, which was announced in July 2022. Not only is Spotify now the main partner of the club, but they have also launched several campaigns together.
One of these initiatives is the jersey takeover series, where artists like Drake, Coldplay, ROSALÍA, The Rolling Stones, and KAROL G have all put their own spin on the club’s kit for the highly anticipated El Clásico match against rival club Real Madrid. And now, with El Clásico happening again on May 11, Travis Scott has added his own unique touch to the jersey.
The Cactus Jack logo replaces Spotify’s logo on the chest of the jersey, and this same design can be found on other pieces in the capsule collection, which is perfect for everyday wear. The collection includes a jacket, two hoodies, a retro jersey, t-shirt, shorts, cap, scarf, and a retro football.
“This collaboration is more than just putting the Cactus Jack logo on a jersey. It’s about creating something that blurs the lines between music and sports,” says Travis Scott about the campaign.
But that’s not all – Spotify has taken things to the next level by bringing Travis Scott to perform in Barcelona for the first time ever. While details are still under wraps, it has been revealed that his most loyal fans in the city will be treated to an exclusive invite-only concert on May 10 at an iconic venue in the heart of the city. The venue will be transformed into a stage for an unforgettable experience for fans.
Don’t miss FC Barcelona taking on Real Madrid on May 11, with the players sporting the Cactus Jack-branded jerseys. And the FC Barcelona Femini team will also be rocking the special edition kit during their final Liga F match of the season on May 18.
