Denim Tears Drops New Big Cotton Wreath Collection: A Bold Statement on Black Struggle

After the successful collaboration with Levi’s last month, Denim Tears is back with a bang. The Tremaine Emory-led label has launched its highly anticipated Big Cotton Wreath collection, featuring comfortable silhouettes adorned with enlarged versions of the brand’s iconic motif.

Oversized Fits and Statement Prints

The collection stays true to Denim Tears’ signature style, with hoodies, sweatpants, and sweatshorts all receiving a revamp. The standout feature of the lineup is the bold oversized fits and eye-catching prints. Available in black, grey, and purple, each piece is emblazoned with the iconic “Cotton Wreath” symbol, representing the struggles of Black people in the cotton trade and in modern-day America. This is all part of Emory’s larger mission to use fashion as a medium to tell the stories of the African diaspora.

Sober Yung Walter Takes Over NYC

To showcase the collection, Denim Tears has enlisted the help of New York fashionphile Sober Yung Walter. The campaign features larger-than-life images of Walter posing in iconic locations around the city. From the Chinatown entrance to the Manhattan Bridge to the famous Calvin Klein billboard on East Houston Street, Walter brings the collection to life in a powerful way.
