Dries Van Noten Announces Global Expansion with New Retail Locations Set to Open in 2025

As the highly anticipated debut collection from creative director Julian Klausner approaches its March release, Dries Van Noten has revealed plans for a major expansion of its retail presence worldwide. The renowned Antwerp-label will be opening new stores in key cities across the globe, with the first locations set to open in Spring 2025 and more to follow throughout the year.

In an exclusive interview with WWD, the brand shared its excitement for the upcoming store openings in New York, London, Milan, Brussels, and Tokyo, all of which have been carefully selected for their potential to showcase the label’s unique aesthetic and vision. “Each location has its own distinct character and culture, and we wanted to honor that in the design of our stores,” said Van Noten. “Our goal is to create spaces that truly embody the essence of our brand while also celebrating the individuality of each city.”

Currently, Dries Van Noten has eight directly owned retail stores and over 400 wholesale stockists. Since being acquired by Puig in 2018, the label has been steadily expanding its reach, with the opening of its first stores in Shanghai and Los Angeles in 2020, followed by a location in Chengdu in 2022. In 2023, the brand launched its No. 9 Quai Malaquais concept store, which focuses on accessories and beauty.

The upcoming boutiques in New York, London, Brussels, Tokyo, and Milan are all set to open in March and April, with the exception of the Milan store, which is expected to open in the third quarter. The New York and London locations will serve as flagship stores for both fashion and beauty, while the Milan and Brussels stores will focus on beauty and accessories.

Despite handing over the reins to Klausner, Van Noten remains heavily involved in the creative direction of the brand. In an interview with WWD, he emphasized the importance of maintaining a collaborative approach with Klausner, stating, “It’s crucial for both of us that everyone involved feels connected to our brand.” He added, “These stores are an extension of our brand’s story, and now they will also showcase Julian’s debut collection.”

Fans of Dries Van Noten can look forward to the highly anticipated debut of Julian Klausner’s first collection for the brand during Paris Fashion Week on March 5. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for coverage of the event and the latest updates on the brand’s global expansion.
