Bottega Veneta Takes a Pause for Fall/Winter 2025 Season, Celebrates New Milan Headquarters with Patti Smith Performance

As the fashion world eagerly awaits the Fall/Winter 2025 season, luxury brands are making bold moves. While some are forging ahead without a creative director, Bottega Veneta has decided to take a pause. Instead of a traditional runway show during Milan Fashion Week, the brand will be celebrating the opening of its new Milan headquarters with a store event this weekend.

The new headquarters, located in the historic former Manzoni Theater on Piazza San Fedele, is just steps away from the iconic Duomo. Originally built in 1870, the building has been restored by Bottega Veneta with the help of Belgian architectural firm Office Kersten Geers David Van Severen. It also holds special significance for the brand, as it was the site of former creative director Matthieu Blazy’s first runway show for Bottega Veneta in 2022.

While the debut of new creative director Louise Trotter will not take place in the newly revamped space, three of the seven floors have been transformed into an expansive showroom and cultural experience. And to make the event even more exciting, Saturday’s celebration will feature a performance by legendary musician Patti Smith as part of the globally touring project Correspondences by experimental Berlin and New York-based music group, Soundwalk Collective.

According to WWD, Smith will debut a piece in tribute to Italian architect Carlo Mollino and his famed Casa Mollino in Turin. While there is no official debut date for Louise Trotter, be sure to check back here for updates. In the meantime, stay tuned to Hypebeast for all the latest news from Milan Fashion Week.
