At the Paris UNESCO headquarters on Tuesday, Pharrell not only unveiled Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2025 menswear collection, but also debuted his latest collaboration with adidas: a trio of Superstar sneakers. Leading the pack is the Superstar 92, also known as the “Double Wide,” which takes the flagship model to new heights with its oversized design. Inspired by the exaggerated proportions of skate sneakers and ski boots from the ’90s, the Superstar 92 was first teased by Pharrell in April and later hinted at on his @skateboard Instagram account. The collaboration also includes the 72 and 82 models, which were spotted on Pharrell’s friends during Paris Fashion Week. Each design draws inspiration from a different decade, with the 72 model paying homage to the athletic style of the ’70s and the 82 model featuring a more sophisticated look from the ’80s.
