Simone Rocha’s Fall/Winter 2025 Collection: A Nostalgic Journey Through Time and Style

“Not attached to today, solace in your own time and space,” said designer Simone Rocha in the show notes for her latest collection. And indeed, her Fall/Winter 2025 collection took us on a journey through time and style, seamlessly blending the old with the new.

Rocha drew inspiration from her childhood and the classic tale of “The Tortoise & The Hare,” creating a world of decontextualized nostalgia on the runway. Motifs from her youth were abundant and clear, with bike shed locks used as belts and hares bouncing across different looks.

But this collection wasn’t just about looking back. Rocha also reimagined and re-appreciated some of her most coveted designs, such as a ribbon top cascading over faux fur micro shorts and synched paper bag dresses adorned with bike lock details. Even her iconic egg bags were transformed into pearly tortoises, paying homage to the childhood tale once again.

The collection also featured a mix of timeless florals and youthful elements, like bloomers and ribbon-laced sneakers. And for a touch of old Hollywood glamour, faux fur stoles and bandeaus were paired with tweeds and gowns. It-girl Alexa Chung even graced the runway in a leather jacket and faux fur top combo, complete with a slit skirt and belted handbag.

But Rocha didn’t forget about her menswear offering, expanding it with duffle jackets, pleated knee-length shorts, fur-trimmed knits, and bejeweled socks. These pieces were reminiscent of schoolyard uniforms, but with the signature Simone Rocha twist.

After nearly 15 years of intricately delicate design, Simone Rocha once again proved why she is London Fashion Week’s venerated darling. Check out her Fall/Winter 2025 collection in the gallery above, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more coverage of London Fashion Week.
