French Basketball Star Alexandre Sarr Takes His Fashion Game to the Next Level with Versace Partnership
Move over, Michael Jordan. There’s a new fashion icon on the basketball court, and his name is Alexandre Sarr. The French athlete not only impresses with his skills on the court, but also with his unmatched style. Sarr is constantly wowing fans with his top-tier tunnel fits, dripping in luxury. And now, as he continues to score for the Washington Wizards, Sarr is taking his fashion game to the next level by partnering with Versace as their latest brand ambassador.
Sarr made his debut as a Versace ambassador at the 2025 NBA All-Star Rising Stars Game, where he stepped out in a full Versace ensemble. “It’s such an empowering brand, and it’s an honor to be a part of the Versace community,” says Sarr. “I felt so fortunate to get to wear Versace on draft night. That’s a night that, as a basketball player, you dream about your whole life, and it was a dream to get to experience it in Atelier Versace.”
For his ambassador debut, Sarr stars in Versace’s latest eyewear campaign, “Life Is Better In Biggies.” The campaign is inspired by the Notorious B.I.G. and features bold lenses that reflect his contributions to hip-hop style with a modern twist. The glasses, available in four new styles, are emblazoned with Versace’s signature Medusa logo, adding a touch of gold to any outfit.
We sat down with Alexandre Sarr to learn more about his partnership with Versace, his history with the brand, and his current fashion mentality.

Hypebeast: How did your partnership with Versace come about?
Alexandre Sarr: The partnership with Versace came about through a combination of mutual admiration and opportunity. Versace has always embodied style and luxury, perfectly aligning with the image I want to project both on and off the court. Through WME Fashion’s relationship with Versace, the opportunity was brought to my management team at WME. After some discussions, we quickly realized it was a perfect fit. It’s such an empowering brand and it’s an honor to be a part of the Versace community. I felt so fortunate to get to wear Versace on draft night. That’s a night that as a basketball player you dream about your whole life, and it was a dream to get to experience it in Atelier Versace. This collaboration has been fantastic since day one, and I’m excited about the future projects we have lined up.
Hypebeast: There was nothing bigger than Versace in the Biggie era, but what does the brand mean to you as someone born in the 2000s?
Alexandre Sarr: For me, Versace represents a blend of classic luxury and modern flair. Growing up in the 2000s, I’ve seen how the brand evolved and stayed relevant in pop culture. It’s not just about the clothes; it’s about the confidence and boldness that comes with wearing Versace. Plus, it has a rich history that connects to music and art, which makes it even cooler. The Versace Biggie campaign is a great example of that, and it was iconic! It feels really special to be a part of the Versace community and its long legacy.
Hypebeast: How important is getting your fit right ahead of a game?
Alexandre Sarr: Getting my fit right ahead of a game is super important. I believe that when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you play good. So, I always make sure to put together a killer outfit before hitting the court. And now, with Versace by my side, I know I’ll always have the perfect look to dominate on and off the court.
