Proenza Schouler Drops FW25 Lookbook After Absence from NYFW Schedule
After a noticeable absence from the New York Fashion Week schedule, the Proenza Schouler team has finally released their FW25 lookbook, just two days after Thom Browne’s closing show. This highly anticipated collection marks the brand’s first step forward without co-creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez at the helm.
Mature, Cozy, and Academic: Proenza Schouler’s Latest Collection
Shot in upstate New York by Tim Elkaïm, the 31-look collection stays true to classic Proenza Schouler sensibilities. With wool capes, elevated footwear, and tartan accents, the lookbook also features familiar faces like Binx Walton, signaling a sense of business as usual for the brand as they move forward without a creative director for the time being.
McCollough and Hernandez Depart from Proenza Schouler
The duo, who founded the brand 22 years ago in New York City, officially departed on January 31 of this year, just a week before the start of the FW25 season. While they will remain minority shareholders, they are no longer involved in the creative direction of the brand. CEO Shira Suveyke Snyder is currently working to find a replacement creative director to continue the brand’s legacy.
What’s Next for McCollough and Hernandez?
Rumors have been circulating that the pair may take over creative direction at Loewe, replacing Jonathan Anderson. However, no official confirmation has been made and Anderson has not officially left the brand. Stay tuned for updates on their plans and future collections.
