Just like its other regional locations, the Stüssy New York Chapter has been conceptualized with the help of design studio Perron-Roettinger. The same team behind the brand’s successful stores in Milan, Singapore, Beijing, and Fukuoka.

A Sleek and Minimal Aesthetic

The store’s exterior boasts a sleek and understated dark-tiled design, while the interior features a minimal aesthetic with a touch of post-modernism. Wooden elements add warmth to the space, contrasting against the cool metallic shelving and frames. The retro vibe is enhanced by speckled marble columns, cream-colored walls, and flooring.

Adding a Pop of Color

To inject some color into the space, four Kristen Wentrcek & Andrew Zebulon corner sofa units in a soft earthy green have been strategically placed throughout the store.

Originally hailing from the surf scene in Southern California, Stüssy made its mark in New York’s streetwear culture with its first store in the early 1990s. Over the years, the brand’s New York locations have become iconic destinations for streetwear enthusiasts, offering a mix of signature designs and exclusive collaborations.

A New Era for Stüssy in NYC

In 2023, Stüssy closed its former New York flagship store, located in SoHo, marking the end of an era for the brand’s physical presence in the city. But last October, the brand announced its plans to open a new permanent flagship in the trendy Nolita neighborhood.
