Uniqlo Launches Limited Edition Mobile Suit Gundam UT Collection for 45th Anniversary
This spring, Uniqlo is set to release a highly-anticipated collection in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the iconic Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. The limited edition T-shirt range, featuring four unique styles, will be available in April.
The first design, featuring a key visual from The Witch from Mercury, is set against a crisp white cotton build. On the back, fans will find Suletta’s famous motto, “If you run, you gain one. If you move forward, you gain two.”
The second design pays homage to Kira Yamato’s three Gundam units from Gundam SEED, as well as the upcoming 2024 film, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. The Freedom, Strike Freedom, and Strike Freedom Gundam Type II are showcased in three cinematic still frames on the back, with their unique unit numbers displayed in small print on the front of the black T-shirt.
The third and fourth designs are dedicated to fans of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. The black variant features a bold graphic imprint on the front, showcasing the RX-77-2 Guncannon, RV-78-2 Gundam, and RX-75-4 Guntank against Char Aznable’s infamous Red Comet MS-06S Zaku II. The 45th-anniversary edition white T-shirt features an assembly of 8 iconic Gundam units.
