Kicking off New York Fashion Week with a Bang: Todd Snyder’s Fall 2025 Collection

On Thursday afternoon, the Upper East Side’s Academy Mansion was transformed into a fashion haven as Todd Snyder debuted his highly anticipated Fall 2025 collection. The stunning 1920s building served as the perfect backdrop for the equally stylish and sophisticated designs that graced the runway.

Celebrity Sightings and Influencer Hype

The front row was filled with A-list celebrities such as Brendan Fraser, Aaron Tveit, and Antoni Porowski, all dressed in classic Snyder formals and seated on antique chairs. The show also drew in a crowd of menswear influencers, who were living examples of the brand’s distinct sartorialism. Adding to the cool factor was Brooklyn DJ Jivan Calderone, who mixed the show’s tunes on a massive slab of marble.

A Lesson in Class and Style

As soon as guests entered the venue, they were greeted with a scene that exuded class and sophistication, much like the 65-look collection that followed. According to Snyder, the inspiration for the line came from the 1980s and the different uniforms worn by locals in Saint-Germain. His mood board was filled with images of undergrads in shorts and neckties, writers sipping coffee at Café de Flore, and businessmen in three-piece suits.

Luxurious Fabrics and Vivacious Colors

The collection featured luxurious fabrics such as velvet, silk brocade, and cashmere in a vibrant color palette of emerald green, aubergine, petrol blue, and various shades of brown. The designs included navy herringbone Eisenhower jackets, coated cotton trench coats, denim blazers, and mohair sweaters, paired with double-pleated wool trousers, flannel chalkstripe pants, and linen-cotton shorts.

Rebelling Against Dress Codes

Snyder’s vision for this collection was to inspire curiosity and rebellion against societal dress codes. Whether it’s a jazz musician heading to a gig at Le Bilboquet or a French tradesman playing pinball at the tabac, each ensemble tells a unique story. As Snyder puts it, “this collection explores how each of us creates our own unique personal styles by subtly rebelling against the dress codes life assigns us.”
