LOEWE’s Ballet Runner 2.0: The Ultimate Retro Running Sneaker Revamp

In 2019, LOEWE’s creative director Jonathan Anderson shook up the footwear game with the original Ballet Runner – a bold and stylish take on the retro running sneaker trend. Now, the Spanish fashion label is back with an upgraded version of the silhouette, featuring enhanced details and a range of new colors. Introducing the Ballet Runner 2.0.

The new model boasts a revamped shape, with added weight from new overlays, embellishments, and an upgraded sole. Available in a total of 7 colorways, the Ballet Runner 2.0 comes in both nylon and calfskin variants. Each version features an asymmetrical toebox, a sock-like internal structure, and a textured rubber outsole that peeks out of the toecap.

As with the original, LOEWE’s iconic cursive L monogram takes center stage on the lateral panel, while the brand’s square-shaped emblem is embossed onto the tongue tab. But the 2.0 also introduces a new injected rubber Loewe logo on the heel tab, adding an extra touch of branding.

The nylon versions come in classic black-and-white colorways, as well as two vibrant technicolor options – one of which pays homage to Nike’s iconic Forrest Gump Cortez colorways. The calfskin leather options, available in White, Black, and Cinnamon, offer a more refined and understated alternative.
