The Hammer Museum Unveils Lineup for Highly Anticipated Made in L.A. Biennial
The Hammer Museum in Los Angeles is gearing up for the seventh edition of its biennial exhibition, Made in L.A., set to run from October to early January 2026. With a focus on artists from the greater LA area, this year’s lineup of 27 artists promises to be a diverse and dynamic showcase of the city’s creative talent.
Curators Essence Harden and Paulina Pobocha Bring Together Multigenerational Artists
Curators Essence Harden and Paulina Pobocha have curated a group of multigenerational artists who work across a variety of mediums for this year’s biennial. From esteemed conceptual artist John Knight to architectural explorations by Hood Century Modern founder Jerald Cooper, the exhibition will feature a range of works that highlight the city’s vibrant art scene.
Theme Yet to Be Announced, But City’s Vibrant Energy Will Be the Unifying Thread
While the theme for this year’s biennial has yet to be announced, Harden and Pobocha note that the city’s “sunny clamor and character” will serve as the unifying thread across all works. In a joint statement, they shared, “From the outset of this process, our primary objective was to look at art, and to see as much of it as possible. We wanted to learn from artists and distill an exhibition from those experiences.”
