Sacai’s Fall 2025 Collection Takes on the Rugged Wilderness with UGG Collaboration

At Palais de Tokyo, the latest collection from sacai was a tribute to the untamed outdoors, featuring a variety of nods to furry creatures and a special partnership with J.M. WESTON for a distinct cow pattern. But the most eye-catching pieces on the runway were the designer’s collaboration with UGG, resulting in a range of wild and cozy footwear options.

The Japanese luxury brand first teamed up with UGG in 2018 for a more traditional offering of Knit Classic Mini boots. Now, after a brief hiatus, the two have reunited for a three-piece footwear collection inspired by the wild.

“The starting point for this collection was ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ – both the film and the book,” designer Chitose Abe shared with Hypebeast backstage. “We wanted to go on a journey with all of our friends, as we normally do, and this UGG line allowed us to do so comfortably.”

In one word, Abe described the woolly footwear line as “family,” perhaps because the designs are like a trio of eclectic siblings. The “mountain” boots, available in black and tan, feature UGG’s signature sheepskin fleece on the tongue, layered with heavy-duty laces and a leather brim. The loafers, on the other hand, showcase UGG’s iconic fur on the front stitching of a classic penny shoe. And the thigh-high boots boast a complex buckle system and can be folded down to reveal a statement-making sheepskin detail.

Despite their fantastical appearance, Abe encourages her clients to wear these pieces anywhere and everywhere. See the full sacai x UGG collaboration in the gallery above, and check out the brand’s full Fall 2025 runway show here.
