UNDERCOVER Unveils Pre-Fall 2025 Men’s Collection with Subcultural Edge
Days after revealing a neon-lit Krautrock-inspired FW25 collection, UNDERCOVER has once again captured the attention of fashion enthusiasts with its latest Pre-Fall 2025 men’s collection. This time, designer Jun Takahashi takes a more pared-back approach, showcasing his discreet side with a nod to the 90s Mod Revival.
The collection features a traditional menswear color palette of black, brown, gray, and navy, with oversized parkas, trenches, bomber jackets, dress shirts, and two-piece suit sets as the core garments. The pants range from wide-legged formal trousers to skinny jeans, offering a variety of fits for every style.
But it’s the accessories and embellishments that truly make this collection stand out. Takahashi’s signature subcultural edge is evident in the oversized tan overcoat and brown suit jacket adorned with rectangular brass chains and razor-like broaches at the collar. Other standout pieces include an olive green hooded parka, military jacket, and long white button-up featuring patches and pins with statements like “You don’t know me.”
One of the most eye-catching items in the outerwear lineup is a burgundy collared zip jacket paired with a light blue beret, a headwear staple seen throughout the collection. In the knitwear department, argyle diamond sweaters and cardigans add a touch of light punk sensibility, while solid knits made from brushed wool exude a more gentle grunge appeal.
For those looking to make a bold statement, pieces like a hairy yellow-green cardigan adorned with silver safety pins and a red cardigan with brass zipper accents provide a striking contrast to the neutral essentials.
