Chitose Abe Takes Us on a Wild Journey with sacai’s Fall/Winter 2025 Collection
Get ready to unleash your inner wild child with sacai’s latest Fall/Winter 2025 collection, inspired by Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s novel, Where the Wild Things Are. Japanese designer Chitose Abe invites us to embrace the untamed and unrestricted nature of the wilderness, with a collection that combines rugged themes with the comfort and protection needed to survive in the great outdoors.
The runway is dominated by new knit fur pieces, reminiscent of the iconic characters from Where the Wild Things Are. These furry monsters serve as the muse for the collection, which celebrates the raw and elemental aspects of nature. Abe’s signature hybridized silhouettes are on full display, with familiar shapes distorted and given a utility makeover that is unique to sacai.
But that’s not all – sacai also revisits old collaborations, including a new line of co-branded Carhartt WIP releases. The collection features collaborative chore jackets, leather jackets, and corduroy collared puffers in rich shades of brown and pine green. Raw and unfinished collars add a touch of edginess, while oversized layering creates volume and adds to the distinctive sacai silhouette.
Of course, sacai’s signature knitwear and down pieces are also present, along with a new addition of leather. These are paired with Carhartt WIP’s classic washed canvas, while UGG joins the mix as a new brand collaboration. The result? The ultimate super furry boat with knee shearling, perfect for braving the elements in style.
And let’s not forget about the footwear collaborations – UGG slip ons and J.M. WESTON’s wild cow pattern print make an appearance, adding even more excitement to the collection. So what are you waiting for? Take a walk on the wild side and check out sacai’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection in the images above or below.
