Véronique Nichanian Strikes Again for Hermès

Paris Fashion Week was brought to life this Fall/Winter 2025 season thanks to the bold and dynamic jockey-inspired collection from designer Véronique Nichanian for Hermès. Drawing inspiration from the racetrack, Nichanian’s latest collection tells a story rooted in the brand’s equestrian heritage.

In an interview, Nichanian shared her intention for the collection to be “strong and energetic.” This was reflected in the color palette, with deep and dark shades mixed together to bring a sense of energy and happiness to the clothes. Shades of brown, coffee, bronze, and navy were contrasted with softer hues like vanilla, pebble, and celadon blue.

While brown may typically evoke a feeling of darkness, Nichanian’s collection embraces its roots and presents a precise and poetic collection that plays with the allure of fashion. The show featured utilitarian jackets alongside short coats like bombers, parkas, and raincoats, blending technicality with sophistication.

The collection exuded a delicate and subtle charm, while still managing to be visually exciting. Nichanian also brought a fresh take on the traditional business suit, with a perfect narrow-arrow double-breasted suit that adds a touch of excitement to the otherwise mundane attire. After the show, Nichanian expressed her desire to bring back the pleasure of wearing a suit for the fun of it, rather than out of necessity.

By infusing traditional ideals of chic with a bold and vibrant energy, Nichanian is redefining modern sophistication for the Hermès brand.
