CNCPTS and Burton: A Collaboration Decades in the Making
For nearly thirty years, CNCPTS and Burton have been two names synonymous with innovation and style in the world of skate and snowboarding. And now, for the first time in their long history, the two powerhouses are joining forces to create a lineup of snowboards and apparel that aims to revolutionize the industry, just as CNCPTS did for skate with Burton in snow.
The snowboards in this collaboration draw inspiration from some of CNCPTS’ most sought-after skate footwear releases, with three unique designs: “When Pigs Fly,” “Ugly Sweater,” and “Holy Grail.” Each board is individually numbered and features archival graphics and hidden details, making them true collector’s items.
Leading the charge on the graphics is longtime snowboarder and collaborator of both brands, Todd Bratrud. With a nod to the 90s and early 2000s, Bratrud’s artwork pays homage to the rich history of both CNCPTS and Burton.
“Skateboard culture is what brought CNCPTS and Burton together, so when we embarked on this project, we wanted to incorporate elements from both worlds into the final product,” says CNCPTS Creative Director Deon Point. “And who better to do that than Todd, who has made such a significant impact in the world of skate. His artwork has taken this collaboration to new heights.”
The CNCPTS x Burton “Rabbit Hole” range includes 18 garments and accessories, all featuring Bratrud’s iconic designs. And for those looking to get their hands on one of these limited edition snowboards, they will be available for purchase on the CNCPTS website starting January 31st.
