To the Screeches and Strums: Magliano’s Fall/Winter 2025 Show Takes Milan Fashion Week by Storm

As the haunting melodies of Berlin composer Aase Nielsen filled the air, the audience at Milan Fashion Week was captivated by Magliano’s Fall/Winter 2025 show. Set in a foggy, mysterious gym, the runway was transformed into a sandy beach reminiscent of the designer’s hometown on the Adriatic Riviera. The atmosphere was dark and tense, with a hint of debauchery lurking in the shadows, much like a winter stroll through Magliano’s waterfront hometown.

Sea, Night, Winter: A Legendary Threesome

Magliano described the show as a “legendary threesome” of sea, night, and winter, with a violent energy that drew in the audience. His muse’s desired chaos was reflected in the intentionally disheveled designs, with handbags casually draped in underwear and jackets buttoned incorrectly. Undergarments peeked out from beneath skirts, belts tangled around waists, and T-shirts were knotted around coats, creating a sense of inside-outness that perfectly captured the designer’s vision.

Introducing “Nudo By Magliano”

The show also marked the debut of Magliano’s new sub-label, “Nudo By Magliano,” which focuses on reimagining the basics. The designer described it as a “precious refuge from the chaos,” with fleece and cotton outerwear perfect for nocturnal exploring. Amidst the turbulence of the collection, there were moments of light in the form of knitwear adorned with Swarovski crystals, reflecting the twinkle of the moon. However, even in these moments, Magliano’s take on brilliance remained gloomy, with the designer stating that “brilliance is a dusty and worn-out matter.”
