Pharrell Teases New Louis Vuitton ButterSoft Sneaker Ahead of Runway Show
Hip-hop mogul and fashion icon Pharrell Williams has been hard at work preparing for his fourth runway show as the creative director of Louis Vuitton Men’s. The highly anticipated show is set to take place in Paris on January 21 at 6:30pm CEST (12:30pm EST), and Pharrell has wasted no time in building excitement for the brand’s latest collection.
While much attention has been focused on Louis Vuitton’s re-edition of its popular Takashi Murakami collection, there’s sure to be plenty of buzz surrounding the fashion house next week. But Pharrell is already one step ahead, giving fans a sneak peek at one of his latest creations for Louis Vuitton – the ButterSoft sneaker.
Fans of Skateboard P were quick to draw comparisons to his iconic Ice Cream Boardflip silhouette from the mid-2000s, while others noted similarities to the classic Nike Cortez. In a recent Instagram post, Pharrell not only showed off a pair of the ButterSoft sneakers, but also teased over 40 different colorways, all featuring prominent “LV” branding at the midfoot.
Details about the new Louis Vuitton ButterSoft sneaker are still limited, as Pharrell has only shared them on his personal @skateboard Instagram account. However, it’s expected that this new silhouette will play a major role in the brand’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2025 runway show and will be released in the second half of the year.
