LISA Takes the Fashion World by Storm in Louis Vuitton Campaign
Move over K-pop, LISA is making a name for herself as a fashion icon. The BLACKPINK member has landed her first-ever campaign with luxury brand Louis Vuitton, shot by renowned photographer Steven Meisel. But that’s not all – the campaign also features the stunning works of French contemporary artist Laurent Grasso.
Retro-Futuristic Vibes in LV’s Spring Campaign
Meisel expertly captures the grandeur of Grasso’s paintings, which serve as the backdrop for the Spring 2025 collection. These landscapes were also featured on three looks from the runway show in October, held at the Cour Carrée. Grasso’s “Studies Into the Past” series, which explores composition and historical techniques, adds a unique touch to the campaign.
Grasso and Ghesquière: A Match Made in Fashion Heaven
In an interview with WWD, Grasso reveals his admiration for Louis Vuitton’s womenswear artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière. He explains, “I was really struck by the way he chooses special and highly significant locations to stage his runway shows.” This aligns with Grasso’s own artistic focus on the power and vibration of specific locations, as seen in his 20 films.
LISA and Saoirse Ronan: A Dynamic Duo
Grasso also praises Ghesquière’s decision to feature LISA and co-star Saoirse Ronan in the campaign, saying, “I find the mix of the brand, their work and my paintings – in the background, obviously – an absolutely incredible cocktail.” LISA was named as a Louis Vuitton ambassador last summer, joining the ranks of J-Hope, Sophie Turner, Zendaya, and more.
