New Balance Unveils Retrofuturistic 9060 in “Dark Olivine” Colorway

New Balance has done it again with their latest release of the 9060 model, this time in a striking new green hue. The “Dark Olivine” colorway pays homage to vintage military-issue garments, blending shades of khaki, olive, and sage green for a dynamic visual effect that perfectly balances tradition and minimalism.

The uppers of the 9060 are dominated by warm olive green suede, accented by vignettes of green mesh and sage-hued underlays. The chunky lower half of the silhouette features a khaki midsole and black outsole, creating a bold contrast.

A shiny sage heel counter stands out on the backside, with the black NB emblem embroidered into the heel tab. The front of the shoe boasts braided green laces that match the color palette of the uppers, sandwiched between two New Balance word marks on the eye stays and tongue.

While the 9060 “Dark Olivine” is not an official military sneaker, New Balance has a history of creating authentic military-issue shoes. In 2014, they partnered with the US Department of Defense to create the 950v2a, which inspired the 1906M in 2024. The 1906M features Fantom Fit uppers originally commissioned for the US armed forces.

As of now, there is no official release date for the New Balance 9060 in “Dark Olivine.” However, it is expected to hit shelves by Spring 2025. Stay tuned for updates on this highly anticipated release.
