There’s no denying that pregnancy can be a challenging time for women. From the constant changes in their bodies to the overwhelming emotions, it’s no surprise that many expecting mothers turn to various methods to cope with the ups and downs. And while some may opt for traditional remedies, others are turning to a more unconventional solution: smoking pot.

Now, before you start clutching your pearls and gasping in shock, hear me out. I’m not saying that pregnant women should be lighting up joints left and right. But there are actually valid reasons why cannabis can be beneficial for expecting mothers. And I’m not just talking about the usual suspects like anxiety, stress, pain relief, and insomnia (although those are definitely valid reasons too).

Pregnant women also experience a whole host of conditions that cannabis has been proven to help treat. Take, for example, pregnancy-induced vomiting and nausea, also known as the dreaded morning sickness. This common pregnancy symptom can be debilitating for some women, making it difficult for them to keep any food down. And let’s face it, when you’re growing a tiny human inside of you, proper nutrition is crucial.

But fear not, my fellow mamas-to-be, because cannabis has been shown to alleviate these symptoms. In fact, a study published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada found that 92% of pregnant women who used cannabis for morning sickness reported significant improvement in their symptoms. That’s a pretty impressive success rate, if you ask me.

But wait, there’s more. Another condition that pregnant women may experience is hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness that can lead to dehydration and weight loss. And while there are medications available to treat this condition, they often come with unpleasant side effects. Enter cannabis, which has been shown to be an effective and safe alternative for managing hyperemesis gravidarum.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Is it safe for pregnant women to be using cannabis? After all, there’s still a lot of stigma and misinformation surrounding
