The vibrant and ever-growing streetwear scene in western Japan just got a whole lot cooler with the opening of AAPE STORE SHINSAIBASHI in Osaka’s iconic fashion district. This marks the second location for AAPE in Osaka, solidifying its presence in the city.
Futuristic Retail Experience Awaits at AAPE STORE SHINSAIBASHI
Get ready to step into the future at AAPE STORE SHINSAIBASHI, where a sleek Alusion™ aluminum foam façade and dynamic circular LED displays welcome you. The two-story, 2,900-square-foot space boasts a minimalist interior with gray concrete floors and warm wooden louvers in AAPE’s signature camo pattern. The store’s centerpiece is a floating Moon Face light installation, and it also features a unique art piece by Japanese artist Tomotatsu Gima, made from upcycled cardboard sourced globally.
Exclusive Collaboration with Chibi Maruko-Chan
To celebrate the store opening and the 35th anniversary of the beloved anime series, AAPE has teamed up with Chibi Maruko-Chan for an exclusive collaboration. The collection includes purple and red Moon Face t-shirts featuring Noguchi-san and Chibi Maruko-Chan characters, along with matching tote bags, all incorporating AAPE’s iconic camo patterns. The collection will be available for pre-launch at AAPE STORE SHINSAIBASHI on November 2, with a global release on November 20.
Grand Opening Weekend Extravaganza
The grand opening weekend of AAPE STORE SHINSAIBASHI was a star-studded affair, featuring special appearances, captivating performance art, and more. Attendees had the chance to meet the iconic Chibi Maruko-Chan character and take a Polaroid photo with her. The excitement continued with a surprise performance by the internationally acclaimed dance group Avantgardey, whose high-energy choreography mesmerized the audience.
