Balenciaga Reopens Flagship Store in Beijing, China
The iconic fashion brand Balenciaga has just unveiled its newly renovated flagship store in Beijing, China. Located in the trendy Taikoo Li Sanlitun complex, this four-story building boasts a massive 1,204-square-meters of retail space, making it the brand’s largest store in the world.
The store’s design is a nod to Balenciaga’s futuristic and ghostly aesthetic, with a minimalistic and eerie atmosphere. The main highlight of the store is its concrete structures, while crumpled leather sofas add a touch of softness to the space. The store follows a “raw architecture” concept, incorporating exposed ceiling grids, extruded aluminum shelving, and textured concrete to match the stone tiles.
But what sets this store apart is its exhibition of eight archival looks from Balenciaga’s The Subtleties of a Dialogue show, which took place at the Kering headquarters in Paris last September. This exclusive exhibit features couture gowns designed by the brand’s founder Cristóbal Balenciaga and current creative director Demna Gvasalia.
The store will offer the brand’s latest ready-to-wear pieces for both men and women, as well as handbags, shoes, jewelry, eyewear, and other accessories. On the top floor, customers can also enjoy a private shopping suite, reminiscent of Balenciaga’s Couture Store in Paris.
To celebrate the opening of this flagship store, Balenciaga will be launching six exclusive products, including oversized “Metalheads” t-shirts. The brand is also betting big on the Chinese market, with this store being its largest in the world.
So if you’re in Beijing, be sure to check out Balenciaga’s impressive new flagship store at Taikoo Li Sanlitun. It’s located at No.11 Sanlitun Road, Chaoyang District, Taikoo Li Sanlitun North, Beijing, 100027, China.
