A Ma Maniere Unveils Limited Edition “While You Were Sleeping” Converse Chuck 70s
At a recent event celebrating the highly anticipated film produced by sneaker giant A Ma Maniere, the brand revealed a special release from their “While You Were Sleeping” collection. This collection combines iconic symbols from America’s most popular shoe brands.
A Ma Maniere Collaborates with Converse and Nike for “While You Were Sleeping” Collection
The “While You Were Sleeping” Converse Chuck 70 is a nod to the original canvas sneaker from Converse, with the addition of a large black “swoosh” on the lateral panel borrowed from Nike’s iconic design. This marks the first time an official Converse silhouette has featured the famous Nike swoosh, despite Nike owning Converse for over 20 years.
A Ma Maniere’s Chuck 70 Joins James Whitner’s Line-Up of Special Releases
The limited edition Chuck 70 is part of James Whitner’s line-up of special releases, which also includes other models from Nike and Converse. The shoe features a pared-back aesthetic with beige uppers, matching laces, and maroon piping along the midsole. Converse’s emblem can be found on the opposite medial panel, while Nike’s duo-tone wordmark tab is attached to the tongue.
Limited Edition Release for Friends and Family
Currently, the “While You Were Sleeping” Chuck 70 is extremely limited, with only 50 UK and 100 US editions being distributed to friends and family of the brand. However, there may be a potential for a broader release of the swoosh’ed A Ma Maniere Converse Chuck 70s in the future. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for updates.
