BSTN and FAT International Team Up to Celebrate Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” with Custom Porsche 911 Dakar
BSTN is known for its extravagant and creative campaigns when it comes to celebrating Air Jordan releases. And their latest collaboration with FAT International to commemorate the Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” is no exception. In a campaign as cool as the shoe’s translucent outsole, the two brands have joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind Porsche 911 Dakar that mirrors the iconic design of the sneaker. And to top it off, the campaign features FC Bayern München star Leroy Sané as its headliner.
But this collaboration goes beyond just the basketball court. BSTN and FAT International, a trend-setting motorsports brand led by Ferdi Porsche, have come together to showcase the icy-blue details and checkerboard carbon fiber pattern of the Air Jordan 11 through a custom paint job on the Dakar. The design of the car pays homage to Tinker Hatfield’s legendary 1996 creation, which made its debut at the NBA All-Star Game and has since become a cultural icon.
Ferdi Porsche, in a statement to Hypebeast, expressed his excitement for the project, saying, “I am very hyped about this project. I’ve always been a big sneakerhead, so being a part of this campaign between a brand that brought out some of my favorite kicks and my local store growing up in Munich is a full-circle moment.” He also added, “MJ is known for his love for racing and cool cars also — so I think FAT Jumpman is a thing!”
But the collaboration doesn’t end there. The Porsche 911 Dakar will also be participating in the 2025 Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria, adding a new twist to the campaign. Set against the snowy backdrop of February’s winter wonderland, the race provides a stark contrast to the Air Jordan 11’s original debut in the sunny state of Texas.
