INVINCIBLE x ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 “404 RGB”: A Tribute to the Past and the Beauty of Imperfection
Get ready sneakerheads, because the highly anticipated INVINCIBLE x ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 “404 RGB” is finally here. This collaboration marks the 10th anniversary of the partnership between the two brands, and it’s safe to say they’ve pulled out all the stops for this release.
The “404 RGB” is a follow-up to the popular HTTP 404 Pack, but this time around, the focus is on paying homage to the past. The “G” in the name has been cleverly reimagined as “Grey,” a nod to the original GEL-LYTE III colorway from a decade ago. But don’t be fooled, this shoe is far from outdated. It continues to explore the concept of imperfection and deconstruction, with an asymmetrical design that deliberately uses contrasting materials on the left and right shoes.
The left shoe features long-haired suede at the toe and heel, while the right shoe is crafted entirely in smooth leather. This intentional mismatch is the standout feature of the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1, creating a dynamic visual contrast between the pair. The asymmetry is further emphasized by mismatched red and blue tongue labels and contrasting heel accents.
The shoe also boasts a spiral logo on semi-translucent ripstop and elongated Tiger Stripes with raw, loose threads, all in varying shades of grey. This layered and sophisticated aesthetic perfectly blends the heritage of the GEL-LYTE III with the modern NIMBUS 10.1 silhouette.
The INVINCIBLE x ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 “404 RGB” will be available through a global online raffle on October 17 on INVINCIBLE’s webstore, followed by in-store availability in Asia on October 18.
