Nike SB Dunk Low “Cobblestone”: A Nod to Tinker Hatfield’s Iconic Safari-Print

Nike is back at it again, bringing back the iconic safari-print that first made waves on Tinker Hatfield’s 1987 Air Safari. This time, it’s featured on the new SB Dunk Low, following the success of the “Olympic Safari” release during the Paris 2024 Olympics. But this time, Nike is taking it to the next level with the “Cobblestone” colorway, paying homage to Hatfield’s original design and seamlessly blending skateboarding functionality with Nike’s rich heritage.

Standout Features

The highlight of this sneaker has to be the safari-print overlays, which can be found on the forefoot, eyestays, and heel. These are complemented by black nubuck underlays, while a pop of monarch orange suede on the toe box adds a touch of flair. The branding elements are on point as well, with a light grey Swoosh on the side and a bold orange Nike embroidered logo. And let’s not forget the cream-colored midsole with subtle aging effects, paired with a black outsole, giving the sneaker a vintage feel. Plus, you get two pairs of laces – one in black and one in orange.

A Tribute to Tinker Hatfield and Nike Fans

More than just a sneaker, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Cobblestone” is a heartfelt tribute to Tinker Hatfield and Nike fans alike. It effectively bridges skate culture with Nike’s historical legacy, making it a must-have for any sneakerhead. While the exact release date is still up in the air, we can expect to see these hit shelves during Holiday 2025. In the meantime, check out the official images and stay tuned for more updates.
