Adidas Launches Lago Di Como Sailing Collection by Rhuigi Villaseñor
Last week, the fashion world was abuzz as adidas unveiled its latest collaboration with designer Rhuigi Villaseñor. The Lago Di Como sailing collection pays homage to the lakeside culture of the Italian town, in partnership with local football club Como 1907. And what better way to celebrate than with a launch party at the Canottieri Lario sailing club, just steps away from the club’s stadium.
The event, which coincided with Milan Fashion Week, provided a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Guests were treated to an evening by the shores of Lake Como, with the iconic 1930s building lit up in blue to match the surrounding scenery. Inside, the walls were adorned with the new collection, featuring classic designs in an all-white color scheme. The Windward Windbreaker, staple hoodie, and matching T-shirt all sported the signature three stripe detailing and club crest.
Of course, the launch party wouldn’t be complete without some star power. Villaseñor himself was in attendance, along with other notable guests. DJs IVY and Marvely provided the music for the evening, while guests also got a chance to check out the club’s famous diving board, designed by modernist architect Gianni Mantero.
In an official statement, Villaseñor shared his thoughts on the collaboration, saying, “Como is not simply where I live, it is where I have learned to refine the rhythm of my life. Sailing here has become my philosophy. Every sail shows me that elegance requires discipline and that freedom is earned through mastery.
