Antwerp-Born Designer Julian Klausner Makes a Splash at Dries Van Noten for SS26
Julian Klausner, the talented designer hailing from Antwerp, has once again wowed the fashion world with his second collection for Dries Van Noten. Building on the success of his debut last season, Klausner has expanded his vision for Spring/Summer 2026 with a bold and dynamic collection that was unveiled on the second afternoon of Paris Fashion Week.
The show, held at the Palais de Tokyo, was a spectacle from start to finish. As guests poured in, they were greeted by the sound of crashing waves, building up the anticipation for what was to come. And Klausner did not disappoint.
The collection was dominated by bold womenswear, with an opening look featuring an embellished cream car coat paired with glossy red sneakers – a perfect balance of sophistication and comfort. According to Klausner, the overall mood of the collection was inspired by the feeling of “ease and optimism,” drawing inspiration from lazy days spent on the beach.
The show notes further explained Klausner’s inspiration, stating, “Watching the sunset on the beach, observing surfers in the waves, I was struck by how elegant the silhouette of a wetsuit is.”
This aquatic spirit was evident throughout the collection, with ruffled jersey dresses, dazzling bomber jackets, poplin tops, and sheer gowns all making an appearance on the runway. Of course, Dries Van Noten’s signature prints were also a highlight, adorning robust outerwear, illusion cover-ups, and fluid striped robes.
The collection also featured a mix of geometric patterns, with two-piece co-ords showcasing a collision of shapes. And for those who love a bit of sparkle, sequined stripes, spheres, and swirls were all incorporated into the designs, creating a beautiful chaos on the runway.
