Trapstar Revives Iconic “Red Line” Range for SS26 Collection
After a decade-long hiatus, West London’s Trapstar is bringing back its iconic “Red Line” range for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. This highly anticipated collection, two years in the making, is a powerful tribute to the label’s late designer and close friend, Nico Kubisch.
Titled “Through Tragedy, Beauty is Reborn,” the SS26 range is a reflection of the pain and loss that Trapstar has endured over the past year. But instead of dwelling on the past, the brand has channeled this pain into a new vision for Red Line, drawing inspiration from Samurai culture.
The collection is infused with themes of honor, integrity, and brotherhood, paying homage to Nico’s legacy and his true Sensei-ship. Some pieces even feature a patina and weathered finish, symbolizing age, wisdom, and resilience.
According to the collection notes, Nico’s impact on Trapstar’s aesthetic cannot be overstated. “He brought a high-fashion sensibility to a global brand, leaving an imprint that helped define the Trapstar aesthetic we recognize today,” they explain. “Though he designed alongside them for numerous shows, he never walked the runway. He was someone who accepted his flowers privately, away from the public eye.”
The craftsmanship of the collection is evident in every piece, with each garment handmade in Italy. Take a look at the stunning runway images above to see the full Trapstar “Red Line” SS26 collection. And stay tuned to Hypebeast for more coverage of Fashion Week.
