Designer Louis Gabriel Nouchi Teams Up with PUMA for New Mostro Sock Sneaker

French designer Louis Gabriel Nouchi is back at it again, this time collaborating with PUMA on a fresh take on the iconic Mostro model. The result? The Mostro Sock, a sleek and minimalist sneaker featuring a slip-on sock upper and slim, spiked sole.

Inspired by Para-Athlete Needs

Taking inspiration from the needs of para-athletes, Nouchi has created a design that is both functional and stylish. The laceless slip-on design is consciously geared towards the needs of para-athletes, while a simple heel tab makes it easy for anyone to pull up the extended sock.

A Minimalist Design

The Mostro Sock is the latest evolution of the original 1999 model, with Nouchi stripping back the design even further than his previous Mostro Mule collaboration. The only details on the shoe are the spiked rubber accents near the midsole, giving it a clean and minimalist look.

Available in Black and Khaki

The Mostro Sock will be available in two colorways – black and khaki. Both feature a breathable knitted textile upper, making them perfect for everyday wear.

Influenced by Other Sock Sneakers

Nouchi’s latest PUMA silhouette is reminiscent of other popular sock sneakers, such as Balenciaga’s Speed Sock and Yeezy’s YZY Pods. These ultra-minimal designs have become a trend in recent years, with their thin soles and sock uppers gaining popularity.
