A$AP Rocky and Moncler Team Up for a Genius Collection
Moncler, the luxury outerwear brand, has joined forces with rapper and creative visionary A$AP Rocky to release a new collection that combines street style with high-end design. The Moncler Genius collection draws inspiration from 1970s ski apparel and features bold color-blocking, trompe l’oeil effects, and logos from both Moncler and Rocky’s creative agency, AWGE.
A New Era of Collaboration
After being appointed as Ray-Ban’s first-ever Creative Director, A$AP Rocky continues to expand his creative vision with this collaboration. The collection was first unveiled at Moncler’s 2024 City of Genius event, where Rocky showcased his curated space with the theme “Where retro ski meets future sound.”
A Rebellious Aesthetic
Known for his rebellious and street-infused style, A$AP Rocky brings his unique aesthetic to Moncler’s luxury performance wear. The campaign, photographed by Charlotte Rutherford, highlights the collection’s lustrous outdoor fabrics and vibrant colors, perfect for combating the winter blues.
From the Slopes to the Streets
The collection takes inspiration from Moncler’s vintage ski apparel and presents an “urban protective uniform” with a bold color palette of lava red, electric indigo, and bright emerald. Classic black and white are also incorporated for a sleek contrast.

Among the standout pieces in the collection are a trompe l’oeil puffer t-shirt and the Bahianinha short down jacket, featuring 3D geometric quilting. Bold graphics, such as the title of Rocky’s upcoming album “Don’t Be Dumb,” are emblazoned in block letters throughout the collection. The AWGE and Moncler logos are also prominently featured in various placements.
A Fusion of Street and Ski
The collection also pays homage to A$AP Rocky’s signature street style with double waistlines reminiscent of boxers. A puffer-fied long-sleeve polo shirt further blurs the lines between streetwear and ski apparel.
