Max Esmail Brings Sharp Confidence to New York Men’s Day

For his second spin at New York Men’s Day, local designer Max Esmail is taking his showcase to the next level with a refined sense of confidence. Aptly titled “Confidant,” Esmail’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection builds upon his debut in February, showcasing a perfect blend of cutting-edge innovation and timeless craftsmanship.

Inspired by the shadowy world of crime syndicates, Esmail’s collection draws from films such as “New World,” “Eastern Promises,” and “Donnie Brasco.” The pieces exude a chilling charisma and quiet menace, with lapelled leather jackets, floor-length trench coats, and tailored suiting in neutral tones. Each garment exudes a refined masculinity, blending cold calculation with sprezzatura, commanding respect and magnetic control.

Shot by Stefen Pompee at the Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan, the lookbook captures the essence of Esmail’s “Confidant” collection. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more coverage of New York Fashion Week and take a closer look at Esmail’s latest collection in the lookbook above.
