DTLR and New Balance Team Up for Festive Holiday Release: The 2002R “Tinsel”
Get ready to add some holiday cheer to your sneaker collection with the latest collaboration from DTLR and New Balance. The two brands have joined forces once again to bring us a festive new version of the 2002R silhouette, aptly named “Tinsel.”
A Metallic Makeover
The “Tinsel” colorway features a metallic silver leather upper with dark gray mesh underlays. The shiny, matte finish of the silver is complemented by pops of bold red, seen on the padded tongue and oval-shaped “New Balance Running” logo. This vibrant touch can also be found on the heel, “N” logo overlays, and additional laces, adding a playful touch to the overall design.
White Accents for Contrast
To enhance the festive mood, streaks of white have been added to the design, creating a visual contrast against the silver and red. These accents can be seen on the rubber outsole unit, adding a touch of brightness to the overall look.
Kids-Only Release
In addition to the 2002R silhouette, a kids-only version of the 990v6 will also be released in the same “Tinsel” colorway. This means the whole family can rock matching festive kicks this holiday season.
