Timberland and Veneda Carter: A Dynamic Duo Returns for Their Third Capsule Collection
In September 2022, the fashion world was abuzz when Danish-born designer Veneda Carter put her spin on Timberland’s iconic workwear boot, transforming it into a sleek, knee-high heel. The collaboration was a hit, and the two reunited earlier this year to release a patent leather version of the classic 6-Inch Premium Waterproof Boot. Now, nine months later, the duo is back with their third capsule collection, featuring two new footwear models, four ready-to-wear pieces, and one new accessory.
The standout piece of the collection is the 14-Inch Lace w/ Zip Boot, which boasts an edgy blue and silver color scheme. Inspired by Timberland’s EuroDub boot from the early 2000s, this boot features a premium patent leather upper, ReBOTL™ fabric lining, a functional size zipper, and a comfortable EVA footbed. Equally as cool is the new silver patent leather 6-Inch Waterproof Boot, which boasts a seam-sealed construction, full-grain leather collar, ReBOTL™ fabric lining, and an EVA footbed.
“When I started working on this collection with Timberland, I was drawn to stainless steel and chrome furniture, which is reflected in the silver patent leather,” Carter explains. “The inspiration for the tall boot came from a discontinued blue Euro Dub colorway that I loved. The collection is tied together with a monochromatic apparel line that is both elevated and practical for everyday wear. The pieces can easily be layered and worn together, which was important to me.”
The apparel pieces include an oversized Ravine Parka with two-way zippers and utilitarian pockets, a black cordura vest with lightweight mesh insulation, a two-in-one skirt with hip pockets and an adjustable hem, and a boiler suit with full side leg zippers and functional chest pockets. Completing the collection is the Veneda Crossbody Bag, featuring enlarged piping details and internal storage compartments.
