Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche Team Up for a Luxurious 993 Turbo Project
When two iconic brands come together, the result is bound to be something special. And that’s exactly what happened when Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche joined forces to create a bespoke 993 Turbo project. The reveal of this collaboration earlier this week caused quite a stir, with its rich green-and-brown color scheme that perfectly complements the beloved roadster.
But that’s not all that caught the attention of sneaker enthusiasts. As part of the project, a fresh Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 993 collaboration was sneakily revealed, sharing part of the car’s name. While only a single image of the made-in-the-USA 993 was shown, it provided plenty of context for the upcoming release.
The sneaker features a rich medley of suede, mesh, and leather, predominantly dressed in green to match the car’s exterior. But pops of yellow and slate grey add a powerful contrast, while the midsole boasts bone and white tones for an elevated look. It’s unclear if the Aimé Leon Dore branding will appear on the heel and tongue, but based on past collaborations, it’s likely to make an appearance.
At the moment, there is no official release date for the sneaker from Aimé Leon Dore. It’s also worth noting that Porsche likely had no involvement in the creation of the shoe. Instead, it’s likely part of a larger Aimé Leon Dore x Porsche gear collection that will be available at the brand’s London store on November 22, coinciding with the car’s official debut. The collaboration will be on display at the store on November 22 and 23, giving fans a chance to see it in person.
