PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE Takes Over NYC with New Flagship Store

The fashion world is buzzing with excitement as PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE stakes its claim in the heart of New York City’s Nolita neighborhood. The highly anticipated flagship store is set to open its doors on December 12, and it’s sure to be a game changer.

Located on the corner of Elizabeth Street and Kenmare Street, the new shopping destination will be in good company alongside other popular fashion shops like 18 East, Procell, and Supreme. But PLEATS PLEASE is ready to make a statement with its prime location on the ground floor of architect Tadao Ando’s first NYC building.

Designed by Japanese firm MOMENT, the 2,224-square-foot space is a sight to behold. The design concept is sleek and modern, with a sharp grid layout and steel-plated lighting rails running through the ceiling. The walls are molded resin, inspired by the label’s signature pleating process, and the floors and walls are made of concrete, creating a clean and minimalist backdrop for the retail layout.

Inside, shoppers will find shiny white tabletops and rail structures, perfect for showcasing the brand’s products. And speaking of products, the new flagship store will feature an exclusive collection of pleated tops, skirts, and dresses called “SOIL & LEAF.” This collection will be available to shop on opening day, adding even more excitement to the grand opening.

Don’t miss your chance to experience the PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE flagship store for yourself. Mark your calendars for December 12 and head to 14 Kenmare Street in New York City. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this.
