Circulate x National Jazz Museum: A Match Made in Fashion Heaven
Designer Corey Populus’ karmic LA-based fashion label, Circulate, has just announced an exciting new collaboration with Harlem’s National Jazz Museum for the Holiday 2024 season. The partnership, which includes a full ready-to-wear lineup, is a match made in fashion heaven.
Experience the Multidimensional Artistry of Jazz with Circulate
In a recent Instagram post, Populus raves about the collaboration, stating that “listening to jazz in stereo is like stepping into a living, breathing symphony of multidimensional artistry.” And with the latest collection from Circulate, that sensation is brought to life through a range of stylish and unique pieces.
Legendary Jazz Images Come to Life in Circulate’s Latest Collection
The Holiday 2024 lineup from Circulate features a variety of must-have items, including varsity jackets, cardigans, hoodies, T-shirts, and trousers. But what sets this collection apart is the use of iconic jazz images captured by renowned photographer William P. Gottlieb. These images, taken during the golden era of NYC jazz clubs, add a touch of history and nostalgia to each piece.
Standout Pieces Pay Tribute to Jazz Greats
Among the standout pieces in the collection is the Black Cats Varsity Jacket, which pays homage to classic Harlem jazz with its leopard print collar, wristbands, and cuffs. The jacket also features an embroidered quote from Miles Davis, reminding us to “play what’s not there.” Other notable pieces include the Miles Cardigan, inspired by Davis’ iconic leopard print suit, and the “Café Society” T-shirt, featuring an image of Billie Holiday, also known as “Lady Day.”
