UGG and YOON’s AMBUSH Team Up for a Bold Footwear Collaboration
UGG and YOON’s AMBUSH have joined forces to create a five-piece footwear collection that is set to release on September 12. This collaboration, following UGG’s previous partnership with designer Reese Cooper, takes things to new heights with YOON’s signature flair.
Galvanized by Tokyo’s Streetwear Scene
Inspired by the streetwear scene in Tokyo, the collection features five statement-making footwear models with platforms and heels. The UGG AMBUSH Heel, priced at $650 USD, is coated in fur and the UGG AMBUSH Woven Boot and Boot have a chunkier design with full-grain leather, luxe sheepskin, and soft nubuck.
A Love Letter to Shibuya
According to YOON, the collection draws inspiration from Tokyo, specifically the neighborhood of Shibuya. “The boots and shoes I often saw when I first moved to Shibuya have always stuck with me, so this is my love letter to the neighborhood,” she said.
Featuring Japanese Rapper Yuki Chiba
The campaign film for the collaboration stars Japanese rapper, singer, and songwriter Yuki Chiba. In the film, Chiba wears the boots while meeting friends at a bowling alley for a game against a group of girls wearing the collaborative heels.
