Track-and-field star and two-time Olympic gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson took to social media on Friday to reveal Nike’s newest women’s footwear model, the Nike Air Superfly. In a series of studio shots for the sportswear giant, Richardson showcases the sleek and stylish design of the Superfly.

In an Instagram carousel, Richardson captions the photos with excitement, highlighting the uniqueness of the Superfly. She pairs the sneaker with a Nike track jacket, a ruffled skirt, and knee-high socks, showing off its versatility and fashion-forward appeal.
The Nike Air Superfly is a modern take on an archival Nike model, originally designed by Caprice Neely and released in 2001. This flagship sneaker has since been used as the blueprint for a collaboration with Comme des Garçons. Richardson’s version stays true to the OG design, featuring a sleek silver upper, a shiny black tongue, and perforations from front to back. The midsole is smooth and the signature Swoosh can be found on the back of the shoe, with the Nike Air logo on the tongue.
While Nike has not yet announced an official release date for the Women’s Superfly, Richardson hints that it will be “coming soon…” in her Instagram caption.
